We were asked to provide interim senior support to the business and legal team. Initially focusing on stabilising and ensuring continuing delivery of business priorities, we moved quickly into assessing the current position of the team and how it was performing in the face of significant challenges.

From here, our task became to develop a functional plan, fit for business needs and enabling smarter and healthier working. In tandem with creating a new strategy, our work extended into implementing new processes and tech, to improve operational capability.

Finding efficiencies & leading change management.

The first step we take when working with a new team is to carry out an in-depth audit - and get to know the existing processes and the team themselves.

We carried out an audit of the exiting function against a tried and tested framework. Followed by a capability assessment of the team and existing technology in use. We were then able to conduct a strategy review and identify opportunities to work smarter and in a healthier more sustainable and resilient way moving forward.

Lustrum instigated a new programme. 

Our team identified the required change management needs and instigated a new programme to tackle it with an external partner.

We mapped out a clearer purpose and strategy relatively quickly for the team.

Lustrum Partners provided two alternative but complementary Target Operating Models for the team. And overhauled the budget and financial planning process, identifying cost and value opportunities for the “Total Cost of Legal.”

Technology roadmap development.

We were able to develop a technology roadmap with a trusted partner. Together, we set out a sequenced and cost-effective approach to enhance efficiency and impact.

Lustrum were able to implement several productivity quick wins to drive greater efficiencies.

As part of the team’s technology roadmap, we developed a blueprint for an automated legal dashboard –incorporating intake and workflow tools.
